The rehabilitation objective is to "relocate the patient from bed to work." Teamwork is required to achieve this objective, and the physical therapist plays a critical role as a member of this team. True, rehabilitation has always been the primary objective of every medical and ancillary service dealing with patient care;

Rehabilitation is not just for individuals who have long-term or physical disabilities, It is a basic healthcare system for anybody who has an acute or chronic health condition, impairment, or injury that limits functioning, and as such, it should be available to anyone who requires it. Rehabilitation is not a high-end medical service available only to the wealthy. It is also not a service to be used only when other interventions to prevent or cure a health condition have failed.
